We guarantee the health of our birds for a full 14 days upon leaving our aviary. During this time, we encourage you to have your new bird(s) checked by a qualified avian veterinarian. If within those 14 days, a qualified avian veterinarian has found the bird(s) to have a pre-existing health condition, prior to the date of sale, we will refund the purchase price or replace the bird(s) with another bird(s) of the same species.
This guarantee is only valid if the bird(s) are not kept in the same air space as any other birds in your home. Many diseases are airborne and a proper quarantine period is recommended.
If you fail to have the bird(s) examined by a qualified avian veterinarian within the 14 days period, and provide us with valid documentation indicating the bird(s) have a pre-existing health condition, then the health guarantee is void.
In the event that the bird(s) die within the 14 day period, you must immediately refrigerate the body, or bodies, in a zip lock bag and take the birds(s) to a qualified avian veterinarian for a necropsy to determine cause of death. If the cause of death is determined to be as a result of a pre-existing health condition, then we will honour our guarantee. There will be no replacement or refund on inconclusive findings, neglect, improper care, abuse, injury and/or malnutrition. We also reserve the right to obtain a second opinion.
